Where is Audio/pitch shift in Cubase Elements?

I downloaded elements to see how it compares to SX3 before I buy, and am struggling to work out how to simply shift pitch/tempo the old fashioned way, without time stretch. There is no longer a pitch shift function in audio. Has this moved?

Hi TristanV,

there is no “Pitch Shift” Process in Cubase Elements, but there is the “Transpose” function in the Info Line which basically does the same.

Regards

I rely a lot on the pitch shift function; I want to be able to pitch samples up and down AND affect the length accordingly. I am working on a project with ELements and the ‘Transpose’ function keeps the sample length in tact. Is there a way around this? Can you change the algorithm of the ‘Transpose’ function?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Luis_Dongo, what do you mean by “there is no pitch shift”? I have seen videos on youtube showing this option under processes. I am also having trouble finding it though.

lol ten years later! Go to audio/process/pitch shift, when the window opens up, make sure ‘preserve pitch’ isn’t checked. Then you can adjust pitch old school style. It’s a really clunky process so helpful to set up a key command. Still my most used operation for breakbeats in audio.
