i have been using the midi controller editor in cubase 12 and i must say it is pretty awesome with my Akai MPK249 keyboard , i got it working fine , i just cant seem to find where you save your midi remote maps , any help would be much appreciated
cheers for your time !!!
Hi @Stone1888, there are two places where things get stored.
In the project file
- the “Project Scope Mappings” (look at the P icon in the Mapping Assistant’s list) are stored into your project file
In “…/Documents/Steinberg/Cubase/MIDI Remote/User Settings/…”
- the “Global Scope Mapping” (look at the G icon in the Mapping Assistant’s list) are stored as a separate json file
If you want to bundle all mappings together you have to use the Export Script function in the MIDI Remote Manager. It create a “.midiremote” file that contains the Device Driver Script, the Project Scope Mappings and the Global Scope Mappings.
