Which VST version should I use and load - the higher version or both?

Hi
I have a question:

Many VSTs have two levels.
E.g. Halion and Halion Sonic.
Does it make sense, if you have a license for Halion 7, to also upload Halion Sonic 7 to the disk?

There are other plugins with two versions - lighter and full-fledged.
Should I use both versions - or only the higher one - since it is available?

One more example: Iconica version in Nuendo and Cubase 13 - should I not download this one - if there is a full version?

Same with SpectraLeyers.

What do you do in similar cases - if you have the full and lighter version?

I don’t think it matters, unless you are sending projects to someone that doesn’t use the version you are using. I always use the “full” version of any software I have because I keep getting caught looking for functions in the lesser version that are present in the full version. So, I always use HALion, never HALion Sonic, GrooveAgent, never GrooveAgent SE, etc.

Thank you very much
I also have such experiences
I’m asking because plugins are taking up more and more disk space and the libraries are repeating themselves.
Some lighter versions have several GB. The more plugins, the more mess there is.
And usually in the installer, in the installation manager, e.g. Steinberg provides all versions - and there is a dilemma: what you can give up, and what should not be omitted.

Thanks again for your opinion

I would install only the highest tier of a product unless there is a reason not to, like sharing a project with someone else as Googly_Smythe said.

OK thank you
I’m just about to upload several larger plugins and libraries - not only Steinberg, but I also have IK Multimedia - so I want to do it wisely.
There are also lower and higher versions.
