Cubase directs me to an encoding online shop when i try to export a simple mp3 file…
I think the “lite” versions come with a license for a limited number of .mp3 exports. Then you have to buy a permanent license for the encoder.
I don’t know much about it but there is a free LAME .mp3 encoder available that you could try using. Maybe search here on the forum for how to download and install it. The Frauenhofer (sp?) encoder that it is directing you toward is not free. I have heard that the Frauenhofer encoder is “better” than the LAME encoder but don’t have any personal experience in that matter.
