Unfortunately the Check for Updates buttons in Dorico 3 and Dorico 3.5 send you to the same url: https://r.steinberg.net/goto/?id=1521&lang=en&plc=SHM
The URL redirect can’t be “fixed” for Dorico 3.5 users, at the website end, without breaking it for Dorico 3 users. Dorico itself will thus need to be updated, which it hasn’t been since July.
And how will you tell?
Seems to me that if 3.0 and 3.5 both go to the same page, then the page should be updated so that it shows updates for both 3 and 3.5
Yup, I agree.
Meanwhile, here’s the update page for 3.5:
https://www.steinberg.net/en/support/downloads/dorico_3.5.html
There’s a 3.5.11 download that seems to be only accessible here (not from the Steinberg Download Assistant).
Thanks --Unfortunately, I’ve given up on Dorico at this point.
This link will take you to the Dorico 3.5.12 update page:
I think this is the only software I have used where “Check For Updates” invites me to install an older version than the one I have. I actually downloaded the wrong update before realising that something must be amiss.
Surely this is trivial to fix? As gigperformer suggests, the update page on the site could be changed to show all updates in one place.
I’m sure anything seems “trivial” if someone else has to do it.
