I will not upgrade because I can’t pay it using Klarna from France when it is allowed from all the other EU coutries.
I asked why to FastSpring and their answer is the number 1 in their customer support process :
So no more buys on Steinberg Webshop until this is fixed.
Certainly an action which will never reach Steinberg and trigger a fix but if I am not the only french to do it, may be, may be not.
It’s a fair point to raise the issue with FastSpring, but depriving yourself of something you want as some kind of ‘protest’ doesn’t really get anything moving.
They already do have a small number of D6 versions in the store, but they’re not yet complete. As Dorico 6 was released yesterday and today is a public holiday, maybe they will update the store tomorrow?
Thanks, but again, buying Dorico 6 is not the main subject of my request here, it is to allow Klarna payment from France on Steinberg shop when it is allowed for all other European countries (EU).
Fastspring has decided not.
Because they certainly do not know that France is a country, and in EU… And Klarna is working in France from years.
Well, there’s probably a reason for it. Regulatory requirements, costs, or restrictions from the French government, possibly? FastSpring wouldn’t block that option unless they had to.
I use Klarna on dozen of french versions of international sellers : Amazon, Thomann even Aliexpress, so I think that’s a lack of professionalism from Fastspring.
If you read their answers, they don’t even seem to know that the majority of EU countries share a same currency, Euro…
