Why is "Edit VST instrument" grayed out?

When you open the floating Key Editor for a whole Folder the Edit VST Instrument icon is greyed out.

Why? It’s annoying. If you open the same Instrument tracks in the lower half Key Editor then click ‘Open In Separate Window’ then you the "Edit VST Instrument’ icon is enabled.

Why do you make me do these things O Cubase gods?

I’m sorry, I cannot reproduce it here. The button is active in all cases here on my side. Could you try in Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?
