Hi, not sure if I’m doing something wrong but when I restart Nuendo the CR settings goes back to default. I’ve setup different Cue and Phones mixes and these aren’t saved with the template or project. I mean they are there but I have to select them again.
Seems a bit weird if this is a feature?
I’m sure that this was a deliberate design decision based on the range of functions provided by the center section of large mixing consoles. There, the monitoring setup would not change either when switching to another project or another task.
… but I agree that it should be an option to link the CR settings to a Nuendo Project, not just to VST Connections-presets.
It seems to be a mixture. All hardwired audio connections like monitoring, talkback, external inputs, cues and metring channels remain on site, which is a good thing, right? Those would not change if the room don’t change. But Monitor Sources can be changed in the project, which is also a good thing? What is the scenario for you to have the control room setup changed per project? Cue naming?
Hi, I don’t change the setup per project, that’s the point, I want the template to start with the correct settings instead of checking them every time.
For example I want the Phones to have Cue1 as standard but Nuendo defaults to “MIX” no matter what I do.
Ah ok, now I get it. Being able to define a default state would be pretty good maybe?
Sounds like a good idea. 
exactly - I have the same issue still with Cubase 14 latest (14.0.32). Steinberg please fix or explain the logic behind it. This has been happening for a few versions.
