will i lose my work in progress when i upgrade to 8 from LE5

I need to upgrade to 8 , although i am in the middle of a few projects.
Will my files still be workable once i upgrade?

Cubase 8 can open LE 5 projects. Note that the channel EQ has been improved drastically in newer versions, so if you used it things will sound different in 8 than they do in LE 5.

If needed, you can continue using LE 5 if you upgrade.
