I have not used Cubase in a few months (busy elsewhere). I started again this week but I encountered something I have not seen before: when I start recording, all my notes stay on the first beat. The cursor advances normally but all my notes end up at the beginning of the first bar. I tried all the troubleshooting I know but to no avail. I reinstalled Cubase Pro 8.5…same thing. I think I need help from the pros…
Closing the loop on this one.
I tried recording on an audio track and it works well. The problem was therefore with MIDI. I went into device setup and into MIDI port setup. I checked both boxes at the bottom (use system timestamp) and that solved the problem.
