Will Nuendo upgrades be on sale at some point?

I recently cross graded to Nuendo 13 from Cubase, and they soon after released Nuendo 14!

I like the look of some of the new features, but I’m not desperate for them. Is there a time when upgrades from previous version go on sale? it currently says 20% off the upgrade, for £132 for me

Will there be larger discounts at some point? It’s a bit disappointing to buy it and then the new version is released!
Thanks

When did you buy the crossgrade?

All versions and updates that were activated since February 18 are within the grace period and get a completly free update. You can check that in the Activation Manager, by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner and then select Check for Grace Period.

If a grace period isn’t in effect for you, keep in mind that the current 20% discount itself expires shortly…maybe within 24 hours of now.

Ok, but think about it like this: Right now, using dollars as an example, the price without rebate is 200 and with the rebate it’s 160. Now consider what the additional discount “should” be for you to feel better about it. Let’s say it’s 30%. 0.3*200=60. 60-40=20.

So if you wait for a better, deeper discount at 30% you’re saving $20. That’s it.

Now imagine that the current discount ends April 1st and that lower discount show up say August 1st. That’s four months away. Divide the $20 by four. $5/month. 1.25 per week to be on the latest version for those four months.

See what I’m saying?

Obviously check if you’re within the grace period though.

No it was just before that, I think January, I just didnt have a chance to use it until recently so it feels later!

Thanks yeah I wasnt planning on waiting for a few dollars, but I thought if it was 50% off in the summer or something I could wait as I don’t need anything urgently!

But maybe I’ll just get it

Steinbergs’ software, applications are revenue generating engines, and so, as long as updates for the programs keep coming, and by all accounts they are happening at a very quick rate, so in my view, there will be specials like there was last year; it’s just a matter of time since if you can innovate on the same stable OS platforms, without having to make major OS specific changes to your code, then all you need is investment, much of which would come from user purchases.
