Will there be another Cubase 8 update that addresses the slow GUI or are we "forced" to buy the update?

So apparently the GUI lag has been addressed in Cubase 9.5, though I’m not sure to what degree. Does anybody know if Cubase 8 will get the same fixes? After all, the GUI lag shouldn’t have been there in the first place…

Cubase 8 and 8.5 are VERY far behind in terms of development compared to 9.5. Bringing these fixes to 8 would make them lose development time that could have been spent making the latest version as good as possible. Even if they were to backport these fixes, it would be for Cubase 8.5, NOT 8.

So yes, it’s time to move on and upgrade to Cubase Pro 9.5.

Here’s a refresher of what has been added since Cubase 8:

Damn. Thank you Romantique. Its just a bit frustrating having to update for something as basic as a responsive GUI
