The reason I ask is that Cubase typically goes on sale for 50% off during late spring / early summer. So, is the current 30% off that sale, or will there also be a later 50% off?
I skipped the version 15 upgrade when it first came out, but at 50% off I would definitely upgrade.
Nah, I am going to wait… I don’t use folders much, so the folder/group thing is rather irrelevant for me, and as for the rest… What I really really want is having back the ability to navigate mix console, dialogs etc with key commands, like in C12.
That’s the beauty of it: Noone is forced to update in case the latest version doesn’t tick enough of one’s own boxes
For me, the folder/group functionality alone would have been reason enough to update if I hadn’t already updated earlier this year.
Sure, and with the “buy-in-a-sale-and-wait-for-grace-period” method you can get two major version upgrades of Cubase for not much money. I am not complaining! (Well, only about the “we-don’t-support-keyboard-navigation-like-any-other-program-has-anymore” regression )
If you want to wait that long you can probably update to the highest available version. At least, that’s how it worked in the past.
As @fese pointed out, there’s no guarantee. Worst case scenario, you just get the version you actually paid for. If you want to try, make sure to leave the Download Access Code you’ll get via mail untouched.
