Hey there! I am experiencing a window resize issue with Media Bay, in that it continually resizes as I search and play files in the file stems, eventually going out of frame at the bottom.

Also, I’m not sure if this is supposed to be like this, but when I try to grab the top/sides of the window and shrink it, the right side of Media Bay continues to shrink in no matter the direction I move the top/sides.

Have I missed a setting?
Thank you!

Yes, I have the same. CRAZY ANNOYING. And some other minor bugs, even after a patch, these bugs together made me go back to previous version, which I never did before. Let me know if there is a fix…
switched from “attribute” to “logical” and the problem went away.
What fixes this is to delete the defaults.xml in appdata/roaming/Steinberg/CubaseX (Windows). Backup this file in case.
I have been having similar issues when working with MediaBay but it’s hard to reproduce the issue from scratch, after removing that file. Current Cubase 15, Win11 build. At least 3-4 times in last week.
Two issues that seem related:
1- resizing Mediabay when grabbing upper or lower edge causes unwanted resizing moving mouse either direction. This issue might possible occur first, or I noticed it first.
2- Mediabay resizes itself when the Previewer area does a full refresh. The result is Mediabay narrows slightly. Requires Previewer to be active and a patch/audio selected.
various selection and search will trigger the ‘full redraw’.
- when changing patches in same directory the issue didn’t occur, but changing directories does
- toggling on/off Deep Track folding triggers it
- Changing Select Media Type filters triggers it
Talking with Copilot about the issue I think we narrowed it to corruption in Previewer geometry data saved in defaults.xml.
- causing the Previewer to re-initialize on every refresh??
- Previewer must be active and a patch/audio selected (disabling Previewer also fixes the issue temporarily)
- Once triggered the bug persists until this file is removed defaults.xml, which fixes issue
- My defaults.xml is almost 4mb, and fresh on is around 300kb
- I can visually see the resize glitch occur when the refresh gets exactly to the Previewer area…
Other specs:
extra monitor at 125% scaling (windows)
thanks
