Window scaling all messed up

  2. Dell P2418ht (touchscreen enabled)

I purchased the CB15 Pro update from CB14 Pro on the night it was released.

When I started the app, it opened the mix console on my Dell monitor at a resolution I cannot use. I can’t access any of the menus or controls as the screen is massive; e.g., text displays at about 144 font size, as do any events that I can see.
This is true for projects I created in C14, and for new ones I made in C15.
I have managed to get the hub itself to open normally on my Samsung Monitor. When I shift to my Dell monitor, it behaves normally too. However, any Mix Console I open is massive, and I’m unable to use it.

C14 Pro was fine. I might have to revisit it if I can’t resolve this issue, which would be a shame, as I was really looking forward to some of the new features.

I’m hoping a maintenance release will fix it, so I’ve logged it, and hopefully, it will get reported by others and get fixed. However, if anyone has any ideas on how to sort it sooner, that would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked Preferences → General → Enable HiDPI?

You can also try to resize the MixConsole window with [Windows key] + up / down arrows when it’s active, if your keyboard has the Windows key. Should hopefully scale the fonts as well.

Hi paka! Thanks. Yes I had already tried that but it made no difference.

But as I was messing around this morning I solved the problem, at least for now! Commentary below if someone else strikes the same issue….

I changed my main monitor to the larger Samsung Monitor which meant when I opened the mix consoles they opened as normal on the Samsung. They were still massiveluy oversized but I could manually resize them so that they fit firstly on the Samsung and then so that they fit on the Dell too.

After a bit of experimentation I managed to get it so that whenever I start Cubase the mixconsole is usable! About to see if it still holds on a system restart! Wish me luck!
