Windows+C6: does Steinberg recommend hyperthreading?

I have noticed that since I turned off hyperthreading my heavily loaded projects run with lower ASIO load and fewer spikes/overloads. Does Steinberg have a recommendation on hyperthreading on the Windows platform? I have read that hyperthreading can cause issues with some applications that make heavy use of processor affinity or L1 processor caches.

Thanks. I guess for now I’ll keep it turned off!

I’ve seen users who say it improved performance turning it off & others the exact opposite so I guess whatever works for you.

Strange.

I can totally see why hyperthreading would be really bad for an app that does its own multiprocessor scheduling. Havingg the system virtualize all of that stuff beneath you will invalidate all of your optimizations.
