Windows Taskbar Spookiness

Any one else experienced this? Ever?
This was my Windows 10 taskbar. I’ve trimmed the right-hand side of the image so only the 2560 pixels on the left are shown.
See those Cubase labels? Over the past three days, they (and every program’s labels) have got wider and wider and wilder.
I fixed it with a GPU driver downgrade.
Just to reiterate, that taskbar is 2560 pixels across.

EDIT
I spoke too soon. Labels are growing again.

Some things I would try:

Right click on taskbar > taskbar settings.
Enable ‘Use Small Taskbar Buttons’

‘Combine taskbar buttons’ > Always Hide Labels
Then enable ‘Lock Taskbar’

Then go into windows task manager, at the bottom, ‘Windows Explorer’ right click and ‘Restart’

@ASUNDER Thanks for responding.
I’ve tried those. In fact I’ve tried every setting I could find. I’ve used GPU drivers going back two years, no change, even with a driver reset, ie, removal.
Trouble is, it comes and goes. They were wide this morning, turned the PC off to do other things, and now they’re back to normal.
Everything else works as it should, so I’m just putting up with it.
:+1:

Try Settings > System > Tablet> Additional Settings > Turn off: “When I’m not using tablet mode, make taskbar icons easier to touch”.

That’s just a guess.

This morning, large. This afternoon, normal. Tonight, even larger.
