I’m wondering if there’s a way to use winged repeat barlines, but only when I choose to.
I’m inputting a Musical Theatre show, and only want to use winged repeats for “safety” or “vamp” repeat bars, but not other, standard repeats.
You might be able to use lines instead, attached to barlines.
(I had to fine adjust them in Engrave mode, but when one is done, it can be copied or alt-clicked to other places)
The simple answer is SHIFT-X text. I have set up the staves to leave ample room between the vocal and top instrumental staff. In Now that cut-away scores have been enabled, that may provide an additional way to approach such situations.
This has been working well until today - I’ve used a horizontal line, and I’ve used the text field in the properties panel to write “Safety” in the middle of the line - and the text is coming out at a much smaller size than previous safeties where I’ve done the same thing…!
If you create a Line with the text added by default, it uses the Default Text font unless you choose something else. (see image)
If you add the text in the properties panel, it uses the Horizontal Line font instead. Maybe you changed the font size or it’s set to Staff-relative and you use a smaller staff?
