Wishlist for cubasis 3 (hope not becoming abonded ware)

Hello Lars, hello to all members and users here!

I hope it is not wrong to create this topic. I am using cubasis so many years and i absolutely love it. On this december 18th it will be 6 years old, is there a chance to get an amazing update? With cubasis 3 we are momentary with a few more features better than cubasis 2. But i love to see real important features like:

  • quantize audio
  • Foldable group channel
  • Fft analyzer in studio eq and mastering strip
  • A fixed master channel in mixer section (annoying to mixing over 20 channels)
  • Fix if you turn down volume of a clip you cannot copy with the right small square
  • Lufs measure in master strip
  • Audio to midi convert
  • Icloud save/sync projects
  • Better audio/midi routing from one to other channels
  • Lfo sync to host in micrologue
  • Midi tools like a learnable modulator
  • Full functionable sampler

These are just a few features i love to see coming soon. I fully switched to producing on

Ipad with cubasis 3. I love the mobile factor, but there are these few important things missing to be wishless happy. Go on with your all great work @LSlowak

I hope there are more updates coming soon. Best greetz and happy christmas holidays, Cut N Glue

I have a feeling we’ll be getting an update soonish and I’d be extremely positively surprised if anything on the list actually makes it to the next update…

…we can always keep the hope alive, if not this time around maybe next time or something like that?!

I would like to add

  • COMP

to the list, as it is essential and has been in demand for a long time.

To be honest the great thing about it is the mobility for sure but I really wish they had a proper way of syncing over your projects to the full desktop versions of cubase in the correct file format. I seem to be able to bounce and pass through as a stem but it would make much more sense if the files that are created on cubasis are the exact same .cpr type that the full fat cubase use so it’s as easy as drag and drop. With the power of most of the new iPads I don’t see why cubase can’t just run on them anyway.

Please correct me if I’m wrong as I am still a beginner in this (even thought I have been making music for years) and I am always happy to learn new stuff or just the correct way of doing things.

This dont work?

If that’s all you need, I guess it might.

“The following features might be added later:

  • Time-stretch (implemented in Cubasis 3.7.5, but results may vary)

  • Automation

  • Multiple outputs

The following features are not supported:

  • Audio Unit, Inter-App Audio or Clap plug-ins

  • Markers (cycle locators are not supported by the format)

  • Folder tracks

  • MiniSampler user preset export

  • MIDI effects

  • Video

  • Scenes

Cubase 14.0.20

(might be improved in future updates)

  • Imported audio files sometimes play at a wrong speed due to inconsistent sample rates.
Workaround: Adjust the project’s sample rate to match the sample rate of all audio files, or adjust the sample rate of all audio files to match the project’s sample rate.

  • DAWproject Built-in Devices (Generic EQ, Generic Compressor, Generic Gate, Generic Limiter) are only supported since Cubase 14.0.30.

  • MIDI CC, pitch-bend and similar are not supported

  • Audio event time-stretch, pitch-shift and gain are not supported

  • Tempo track is not supported

  • Notepad text is not supported

  • Some Microsonic and MiniSampler “AM” kit presets in Cubasis result in an empty Groove Agent instance in Cubase.”
