I am attaching a lad sheet of “I Love Paris” and slowly chopping away at it. A problem I’ve been having with all my templates is trying to fit the last (few) measures onto to page one. I did it before, but then when I edited further, the last measure went back to the second page. I tried pushing the chords down to lessen the gaps between staves but that didn’t help. Also, once I enter the melody line I cannot enter the chords on beats 1 and 3. I still haven’t found the way to place chords on beats 1 & 3, or even 1,2,3,4 if needed. Thanks again.

If I return everything to Dorico defaults (except in Layout Options, I hide the Flow header and the Instrument Labels) it all fits on one page…

The less you intervene the better Dorico will lay things out!
If things spill over, try reducing Layout options>Note spacing a touch. You can either do this for the whole layout, or you can use a note spacing change in Engrave.
