Cubase is deprecating Mackie control, so what now? I do not have the settings for that in my Cubase:
I need a script for my Oxygen Pro Mini, but it does not seem to exist.
Anybody help me to make a script? I tried to make the “surface” in the midi-remote, but cannot figure it out.
Hi,
You can still use Mackie Control.
Or you can use a MIDI Remote script, which emulates Mackie Control.
Where did you find this info?
Have you followed the setup scripts on the M-Audio support site.
I’m using the Oxygen Pro 49 and it works perfectly fine, M-Audio also explicitly mentions the Oxygen Pro Mini in the setup
Thank you for replying. I did follow all of the information on the M-Audio site, but that is now outdated. Note their screen shot of the Cubase Midi Screen:
and now note what I see in my Cubase Elements 13:
Note that the “remote devices” is “Legacy” and while it seems I can add “Mackie Control” my thought is that this will stop working soon. All signs point to Cubase going to their “midi-remote” scripts. Or am I just misunderstanding?
Hi,
This will stop work in any of the future Cubase version (Cubase 14, Cubase 15, Cubase 20, who know?). But it fully works in Cubase 13.
Can someone confirm or deny if Mackie Control support is still in v14?
I don’t really see it going away soon, though, given how bad the adoption for MIDI Remote Scripting has been at the vendor level.
Hi,
Mackie Control is still supported in Cubase 14, the same as other devices. There is no change from Cubase 13 to Cubase 14 in this area.
I followed the documentation on the m-audio site but the midi remote does not recognise the trigger pads even though I can see the midi signal going into Cubase 13 when I hit them.
