I’m tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to fix this problem: In one Montage, and only this one, when I import, edit or convert an audio file, it automatically saves it in an Edit folder (normal)… which is not the Edit folder for the current project, but that of another project, and always the same one.
This does not happen with other projects.
How can I restore normal behavior in this project?
Thanks PG !
By opening this window I can see that the destination folder is wrong, and when I reveal this folder in the Finder, I see that the .mon is not on the good folder !!!
So the behavior is finally normal, but But I often get confused when I do a “save as” of a montage, because the folder suggested is almost never the right one (it’s the folder for another montage).
And I can’t figure out how to set the folder preferences so that they are “natural” for my work.
Do you have a default setting for folder preferences for “audio files” (load & save) and “audio montages” (load and save)?
Maybe then use the Backup option, just below, to copy a consolidated montage to the folder of your choice.
When you insert a file in a montage, you have the chance to copy that file within the montage. I recommend that you use this option, so that everything is in one place.
It was my fault on this one.
But wavelab is tricky to setup when it comes to set the default folders.
A Shift-S should always suggest to save as the new version of the montage next to the actual montage, without having to dive deep in the preferences settings.
