Wrong stem direction

Why does the stem direction go up on the marked notes?
The notes were created in key editor, and this is what comes up in score editor.

I can repro that here.

repro:

In the Score editor

  1. Create staff for C Trumpet.
  2. Set Score view to Concert Pitch
  3. Add three quarter notes in this order: C4, Ab3, Bb3

result: stem of Bb goes up instead of down.
