I currently have Cubase 10 LE, and I recently purchased an upgrade to Cubase 15 Artist.
However, I’m unable to activate or use the Download Access Code I received. The Activation Manager shows “No license found,” and when I try to redeem the code, I receive the error message: DRE-426.
I’m wondering if the issue is related to my Cubase 10 LE license and whether it needs to be upgraded first.
I would really appreciate your help in linking the new Cubase 15 Artist license/code to my Steinberg account so I can activate and use the software.
Following up on my previous post, I now understand the exact cause of the issue and need a moderator’s/support staff’s assistance to resolve it.
Here is what happened:
I have a registered Cubase LE base license in my MySteinberg account.
I purchased a Cubase Artist 15 Upgrade code from my local reseller.
Upon checking my receipt, I realized the store gave me an “Upgrade from Cubase AI” code instead of Cubase LE.
When I attempt to redeem it, I get the error:
“Something went wrong. Please contact your local support team and have the error-code ‘dre-426’ ready.”
Since the eLicenser servers are permanently shut down and the system is rejecting the code due to the AI vs LE mismatch, I am unable to process or fix this on my end.
Could a staff member please check my account and help adjust/verify my license so I can activate Cubase Artist 15?
The LE and AI update are listed on site as a separate purchase so I guess you will also need the LE upgrade not the AI. Steinberg are unlikely to help, you.ll need the reseller to refund or swap the code for you.
