Wrong versions of Cubase were accidentally installed

Yikes!!! Well it’s just as much my fault. I needed Steinberg’s help today reinstalling Cubase 12 Pro, and 13 Pro on my desktop. Just wasn’t able to get the activations where they were supposed to be after having to replace the SSD and operating system. I’ve been up since last Friday night at war with my computer trying to figure out this Audio drop out/ peak meter nightmare. I managed to get the new NvMe 2TB SSD installed along with a fresh install of windows 10. But of course, my world class crappy luck had to dominate the last four and a half days. Could not get Cube 12 and 13 Pro to show up anywhere. So I took off another day from my day job to get live help from Support. I do appreciate that he took my call, and he made short work out of putting the programs back on my desktop… But Maan, It figures, I’m so beat i didn’t realize until just about an hour ago while I was trying to make test projects. He mistakenly installed the regular versions of Cubase, not the Pro versions like I paid for. I don’t understand how it happened, But There it is. I couldn’t figure out why so much stuff changed or was missing altogether. Yeah, this blows the big one. Gotta take off of my day job AGAIN tomorrow to have them help me fix this.

There is no ‘Regular’ version : do you mean ‘Artist’, ‘Elements’… ?

Beside this, I would look in the Steinberg Activation manager : what is the licence do you have for Cubase 13 ? If it’s the Pro one, it should just be a process of uninstalling the wrong version and reinstall the Pro one with the Steinberg Download Assistant (making sure that you use the SDA with administrator rights).

Hi Cubic 13, Yup,…I got it, and thank you.
