X touch - cubase issue

So i bought an x touch to use as a control surface when running sound using IP to a PC. That works great.
Now i want to control Cubase 11 with the USB Mackie control on my Mac Laptop with M1 Max chip. Settings based on what i see online are correct. I have mackie control set with xtough INT on both in and out, as instructed. Also have “in all midi” DESLECTED on midi port setup as i’ve seen on trouble shooting tips. Xtouch can control functions (but had to change “smart switch delay” to LONG for rec/solo/mute buttons to work.
ISSUE IS:
I slide a fader up on x touch, it sits there for a second and then goes back to zero. Fade stays in place on DAW. Can’t find why that’s happening online anywhere. when buttons are selected (rec/solo/mute) they do not light up on x touch. Scribble strip does not show ch names. So controls work but midi is not working completely. When adjusting faders on the DAW, x touch does not follow. Please help!!

have changed USB cable, changed USB port on computer.
setup info
X touch running 1.5 FW
X18 as interface (only getting 9 ch though)
Xair USB output setup 1:1 (PC as controller via IP)
X18 and X touch connected to Mac via USB - both connected to PC via IP -
-SMPTE control works fine
-according to Behringer this setup should work given midi/IP
Mac Pro M1 max (ventura) using cubase 11 (11.0.20 vs)
ISSUE: x touch not holding commands and resetting to “zero”
Knobs and faders work but do not reflect settings on DAW
Adjustments to DAW not reflected on x touch

as a side note, have tried running this with PC off but still no change. x touch is setup with IP/MC on fader 1 setup holding SELECT button as instructed.

also tried setting x touch to MC only and won’t connect.

If I understand you right, you are using Mackie Control Device in the Studio Setup, right?

Could you attach a screenshot of this device, please?

You can also try to use the MIDI Remote Device shared here.

As far as I remember, the new MIDI Remote System was introduced with C12?

You can’t use network and USB at the same time.

You are right! Sorry, I overlooked this piece of information.

Then I would strongly recommend you to update to the latest CUbase 14, because of the eLicenser close down in May 2025.
