XML & Audio Importing

Hi there,

I’m new to the forum and I own Cubase 10 Pro 10.0.20

I have a recently had a client who used a QSC Touchmix-16 to track drum recordings. The recordings where recorded directly to a Harddrive which contains all of the Audio and included an XML file. I’ve tried to import the xml file into a recent session with no avail.
I get an error message that says:

Failed to Parse file

Is there any way to resolve this without the need of lining all of the audio tracks and moving them on time? QSC recommends to download Touchmix Daw Utility. it does the job of renaming the audio files by track numbers but I still have to line everything up myself. is there any solution for this? I have massive about of audio files. :cry:

Hi and welcome,

What kind of XML file it is? What does it contain? How did you try to import it?

Cubase is using XML file type in several totally different areas (Music XML, Remote Control Setup…).
