A student of mine normally sends me his work as xml files that I import into Dorico. Today he sent one, I imported it, but I can’t select or edit any notes at all. Any idea what is going on here? I’ve imported tons of xml files without ever seeing this problem.

There doesn’t seem to be any problem with this MusicXML file. I hate to ask a stupid question, but is it possible you’re in Setup mode?
No, I’m in write mode. Can you edit it? I can’t even select a note, nothing. Select all selects barlines and measure numbers, no notes. If I try to select all and filter, say bottom notes in chords, nothing gets selected.
I just realised what happened. It came in condensed all on one staff! In galley view, or uncondensed it’s fine.
