There was not. Please see the posts above.
The last I heard was Advanced FX suite will be migrated to the new Steinberg licensing system by the end of the year.
There was a post on one of the other threads saying that the plug ins in the advanced fx suite were being dropped and would not be moved. It also said to keep using the elicenser and to not lose it as there would not be a way to recover your licenses.
Can you please share a link to that post.
This is what @Ed_Doll postet in April
Hi
Is there any news about this ?
Thanks
Wolfgang
There are several threads about this, here is one with an answer
Thank you @JuergenP for the link!
We’re now in November. Hoping we see this update soon!
It just arrived.
Amazing!
I installed everything and noticed the plugins weren’t activated. Found this out after digging around my account a bit.
For those trying to activate the new plugins, make sure you redeem the voucher in your MySteinberg account (Basic or Advanced FX Suite):
It would have been very helpful if Steinberg would have sent out a clarifying information to all their existing URC audio interface customers.
In fact, after you have successfully “upgraded” to the new Steinberg Licensing system (by redeeming your Download Activation Code and enabling your license on your computer), nobody is telling you that a new audio interface firmware is required, along with a mandatory installation of a fully new set of your VST3 plugin updates (e.g. the Basix FX Suite plugins in my case). These update downloads are not even shown under “my products” after redeeming and activating the code; you must find them on Steinberg’s homepage first.
In other words, in my case the plugins Morphing Strip, the four GA Classic FX as well as the three REV reverbs need to be updated first. If not doing so, your DAW (e.g. Cubase Pro) will still look for a plugged-in eLicenser dongle instead of checking the new Steinberg licensing activation. Doh!
For those who need it, here’s the link:
UR-C Tools 3.2.0
Can someone who has upgraded Basic FX Suite to Steinberg Licensing confirm that the eLicenser license is retained for use on systems running old versions of software (ie. is it marked as “Upgraded to Steinberg Licensing” but still functional like Cubase 11, or is it deleted like when upgrading soundsets?)
