Is there a forum like this from Yamaha? The new CC1 from Yamaha just arrived. What do you think about the machine?
I think, the button images could be improved. Most functions only show a keyboard image! 
All the people I know who had bought a CC1 were very disappointed and sent the device back to where they had bought it.
They should have simply used the Stream Deck software only and not try to replicate it themselves. The idea to put a Stream Deck into the machine was great.
Maybe let a new programmer code everything from scratch again for version 2. The hardware is great! Or let Steinberg implement it in Cubase. They could use the Cubase Midi Remote together with a Stream Deck plugin.
Got mine this week: Hardware is outstanding, reaction speed of the fader is way faster then on the FaderPort (when changing channel 0.5 to 1sec difference).
The current implementation uses the Cubase SKI platform (like Cubase IC Pro) not midi remote scripts (reason of the speed?). The interface to Cubase is a StreamDeck plugin and uses the streamdeck SDK. I think we saw only a small part of possibilities in the current implementation.
By using the streamdeck SDK you could also build a midi wrapper and use midi remote skripts. Exactly this does already the MCU/HUI mode.
in my opinion: great peace of gear with beta software infrastructure in the moment but with huge potential.
