How can I get Cubase Pro 14 to recognize the Yamaha Steinberg Driver?
Hi,
first of all make sure that you have installed the latest drivers (Tools for UR44) and update your firmware, please (if it is not updated yet). While you are at it you might want to update Basic FX suite as well, but that’s up to you.
It’s all here::
After installing the drivers and updating the firmware please go to
That should be it, good luck!
Did all of what you recommended. No success in gaining access to the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver in Cubase Pro 14.
Thanks for trying.
I have used various versions of Cubase for about 30 years. Never had a smooth upgrade, not once.
Can you please upload screenshots of Studio Setup/Audio System and here the ASIO Driver options on the right side? There’s no Yamaha ASIO Driver available?
Did you install Tools for UR44 with Admin rights?
I uninstalled and reinstalled both Tools for UR44 and the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver, verifying that my Win11 account is an administrator account. It’s working now, and I thank you for your input. I think this may have been a case of operator buffoonery, but please don’t make me confess. Sincere thanks.
Haha, this happens to all of us, no worries!
Glad that the issue is solved ![]()
Fantastic, i am doing the same right now, so great to read this post ![]()

Only the Steinberg driver will load. So I downloaded the Yamaha driver, but when I try to load it, I get this:
Now what? Where is it? How do I find it? If I have it already, why won’t it load?
