My voice has never mattered, I’ve requested features and reported bugs for the past 7 years and none of them have ever been implemented or fixed. I’m not convinced they even read them and are bothered
Greek is no hard to learn for a German (and vice versa) because very cleverly you adapted and adopted the Greek Syntax laws!
Cheers!
Allow sorting (change list order) of inputs and outputs.
I will explain my current case to show why: I am using MADI FX card at 96K. That creates 96+ inputs, 96+ software connections and 96+ outputs. I will be using them all. Some are mono Some are stereo. Either I must enter each in/out in order as a mono or stereo. Or use the default of adding 50 stereo or 100 mono channels. If I use all stereo for example, but I want a few in the middle to be mono, those are added to end of list. I want the list to match what’s in RME total mix. No way to get that done other than manual entry of 200 lines without mistakes. One mistake=start over.
When will MediaBay work as a regular explorer and remember the last selected files in any of the folders, as it is done in Reaper?
Hey, man, I met a new crash issue when I started up previous projects which were OK before. When Cubase 14 was loading the project and you saw the bar, it suddenly closed! It happened several times already, and you had to retry several times to open a project! Any idea how to fix this?
You would need to work out what causes the crash to know if you can fix it.
Does it create crashdumps?
Does it open in safe mode with prefs disabled
Does it open with plugins disabled?
Yes, it created crashdrumps
Make a new post so people can actually help solve the issue, instead of replying to an old thread about a Cubase Survey that no one is going to notice 10 minutes from now.
Thank you for offering the survey for Cubase. Not many companies make an ask like this anymore. It would be interesting is Steinberg were to create and share a bar chart showing the prevalence of the input and the asks.
Regarding V14.. I simply can’t warm up to the new interface. Drab, flat, uninspiring. I’ve gone back to V13. I realize 13 was heading in that direction, but it still retains more of the Cubase look that I enjoy.. I wish Steinberg would include a option in V14 to change the interface back to “Legacy”
UAD have really impressed me. I loaded an old project with 2.4 plugins and I got a notification that all these plugins were being replaced with the 3..0 versions and I checked with the same settings this did not happen with any other plugins. They were simply missing.
@Matthias_Quellmann How’s the survey? Do you plan to share some results with the community?
The only problem I’m having with Cubase 14 is its instability. Performance meters are unstable and consume more power than other versions. I had to go back to version 13 which is stable. This problem really needs to be fixed with version 14.
Just realized there IS a “Legacy” setting in Preferences that I was unaware of. This does make the interface more to my liking. So thanks Steinberg for that
Hi, I’ve done the Cubase survey for the second time. And suddenly it disappears when I’m done. It was like that the first time too. Is it saved somewhere?
Wish I could modify my survey response: I forgot to say one of the things that is confusing to me is the ASIO guard.
…and where is it located exactly?
Go to “Edit” then “Preferences” (I’m not near my machine so going from memory) At the bottom left there should be a drop down under ‘Preference Presets’ click it and choose ‘Legacy’ Click “Apply” and “OK”
Does it look like Cubase 12/13 then? Please post a screenshot on imgur.com or something.
I don’t see any difference other than the bold letters in the track names.
