FYI: I recently installed the latest BIOS update for my ASUS ROG STRIX Z690I motherboard, and now Cubase 12.0.70 runs much more smoothly on my Windows 11 PC! Previous to that, I’d have lots of ASIO spikes and some audio glitches, and now the ASIO meters are calm, and I have plenty of buffer headroom to avoid any audio dropouts.
Not sure what they fixed via that BIOS update (CPU microcode updates to better deal with core affinity?), but the point of this is that it’s worthwhile to keep up with BIOS updates!
Hopefully this will be helpful to others, given that audio glitches seem pretty prevalent still with Cubase 12 and 12-generation (and later) Intel processors…
