Zero Downtime - How long?

Hi Guys,

I bought a new usb e-licenser dongle and activated Zero Downtime yesterday, after I registered the new dongle it removed my old Cubase 7 Pro license from the list, I have bought and installed the update Cubase 11 Pro, but I need my replacement code for my old Cubase 7 in order to be able to activate my new Cubase 11 purchase and get it registered on my new dongle. I still haven’t heard anything from Steinberg and I am concerened I am out of time with the Zero Downtime thingy, the phone line for Europe seems to be dead or disabled atm, is there any other way to contact Steinberg so I can actually speak to someone, I hope I’ve not lost my money on the upgrade.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Sorry, I don’t know, how long does it take. But the correct way would be:

  • Plug in both USB-eLicensers.
  • Transfer Cubase 7 license from the old USB-eLicenser to the new one.
  • Activate the upgrade license.
    Done.
