Zoom commands get hijacked by the mixer in the lower zone

The standard zoom in/out key commands (G&H) will always zoom the tracks horizontally, except when the mixer is open in the lower zone. Anything else could be open in the lower zone and it won’t affect these zoom commands - meaning that the focus can be on the lower zone and the zoom key commands will still affect the tracks area. But when the mixer is open - then the zoom commands will affect the mixer. So to zoom the tracks again, you have to get the focus back on the tracks area either by clicking on the tracks area, or tabbing the focus through the various zones until it’s back on the tracks area. Every time you touch anything in the mixer, the focus moves back to the mixer, and you can’t use the zoom commands to zoom tracks. This is really tripping me up.
How do you guys deal with this? Do you have a different workflow?

Nope. The MIDI Remote (if any set), the Sampler (once we click on a waveform) and the Editor, will respond to the G&H when focused. Only the Chord pads won’t respond to the zoom in/out, but I guess this is due to its non-scalable design (?). Concerning the Editor (and this is perhaps why you didn’t notice it), when we have it linked to the project window, the zoom in/out is synced. If we unlink, you will notice that G&H will zoom in/out only the Editor’s window.

I personally rely on a shortcut for Window Zones→Show/Hide Lower Zone because I like to see just my Project Window, so I always revert to the “maximized” project window when finished with adjustments in the lower zone.
