It seems that when choosing to import just one track in an (embedded) AAF file all files are extracted and placed in the “Audio” folder.
I just imported two different tracks, first one, then selected AAF again and chose another, and the “Audio” folder is now roughly twice the size of the AAF file, and I have several files with the exact same file name with “-01” (and up) at the end.
This seems to be a mistake in programming. I would expect Nuendo to only extract relevant audio files rather than everything. There definitely are cases where I choose to import just one or two files from a new AAF for example exactly because the editor for some reason included more content than necessary. The way it seems to be working right now I might as well import everything all the time since the files will be transferred anyway.
This basically just seems unnecessary.
