Hello, I also hope that the developer team at Dorico is perhaps already working on this long requested feature? – see also here https://forums.steinberg.net/t/alternate-chord-sequences-in-dorico-4/761105 (and other threads). Many of us Dorico users are writing professional leadsheets in jazz or pop styles where alternative chord symbols (as suggestions for reharmonizations) are very common, as found not only in the »New Realbook« series. A workaround with staff (or other) text is not adequate as for professional layouts we need to use chord fonts of our choice (like the ones from Scoring Express or even our own modified fonts). Why can’t there be an option for either a) using Capo Chords or b) writing alternative chord symbols into a second chord symbol line? Dorico always prides itself on offering a particularly large number of professional layout options compared to other software such as Sibelius. To be honest, however, the software is much less flexible than the competition in this respect. Many new features in version 5 such as »live stage»-playback are nice, but not really useful for professional users:: Dorico is primarily a music notation and engraving software and not a DAW replacement… Writing two different chord symbols as alternatives on the same rhythmical position, on the other hand, is a feature that many jazz and pop users really need all the time. It would therefore be great if the next major update had a solution for this. Please…
