Using on a new iPad Air with M2 chip, it does great recording acoustic with a pair of condensers into an interface into Cubasis, which is the main reason I bought it.
However, when I plug an electric into irig and use an amp sim app to record in Cubasis inter app, the amp sim freezes up. This has happened with Bias FX and Positive Grid, and Overloud will not show up in the inter app.
Hi kmaaj:
Welcome to the Cubasis forum.
I will try and help you by suggesting you try a free app called Tonebridge, it is AUv3, it has thousands of free downloadable stomp boxes that are used by famous artists, you also have some degree of control by swiping the selected fx box left or right.
I have Amplitube IAA which no longer works properly on my 13” iPad Air M2, but Toneworks sound good, you can preview each box before downloading them.
Hope this helps.

You can select genre type, you then simply preview a fx box and download it for future use, they really are good - see photo
Apple added Audio Unit support for mobile apps several years ago, which clearly can be seen as the successor to Inter-App Audio.
I suggest to get in touch with the 3rd party app vendors, to let them know that you would like to see AU versions of their plug-ins (to make them aware about the demand).
To learn more about the limitations of Inter-App Audio, please take a look a the following Cubasis article (from Oct 2016): Limitations of Inter-App Audio
If you encounter issues, you may give the following steps a try:
Launch the Stand Alone app versions of the IAA plug-ins first, before using them in Cubasis
If you encounter IAA loading or other issues: close all apps, including Cubasis, followed by shutting down your iOS/iPadOS device (turn it off) and try again.
