Anyone else find the new timeline ruler in 8.5 irritating?

On a completely separate but equally irritating issue… the new window layout options that pop up when you click on the edges of the screen are driving me mad. Most of us have shortcuts to show/hide the windows we need, so there should at least be an option in preferences to disable this new behavior.

Yes, +1. This is really eating my lunch. Dozens and dozens of extra clicks added to my workflow due to the corner pop-ups. Needs to be addressed.
