Automation editing is great for CCs, then why is it so bad for tracks?

I agree 100%. I can’t for the life of me understand why these tools differ the way they do.
Here’s another issue on the same topic.

Automation Lanes - Move Vertically/Scale Vertically

Using the Move Vertically (mouse cursor turns to [image]) produces the exact same results as using Scale Vertically (mouse cursor [image]). In the MIDI Key Editor, editing events in the Controller Lanes, there is a difference between the two operations. Editing in an Automation Lane, the Move Vertically operation behaves as if it was scaling.

What setting do I have to change in order to use the “Move Vertically” feature when editing Automation Lane data in the same manner as it appears in the Controller Lanes in the Key Editor? Current behavior of Automation Lanes: [Automation Lane] Desired behavior of MIDI CC lanes in the Key Editor: [CC Lane] Note that mouse cursor tool-tip labels the functions the same. I would prefer that this feature did not create unwanted automation points.
