Hi all. I’ve seen posts about this topic from years ago, but I’m starting a new message in response to the most recent Dorico update.
My understanding is that at one point, years and versions ago, automatically placed instrument change labels, as well as percussion legends, did not respect their associated paragraph style settings for borders and background colors. My more recent experience in Dorico 6, prior to the most recent update, is that they did respond to those paragraph style settings, and I’ve been happy to have the desired opaque boxes around these markings.
I’ve now updated to version 6.2.0.6088. What I’ve found is that the borders no longer appear unless I turn off the background color in the associated paragraph styles, which means they are no longer able to both be opaque and have a border. Although that’s no problem most of the time, there are places on percussion parts where it would be nice to position the percussion legends/instrument labels across bar lines, where the background color comes in handy.
Is this something that was broken with the recent update, or am I offtrack and completely missing something? Thanks!
