I worked on a project for several hours without issue tonight. After saving for the last time, choosing Export->Audio Mixdown, and previewing the mix in SoundForge, I returned to Cubase and chose File/Quit.
As everybody knows, it takes a while to shut down. During that process, after all of the project windows had closed, Cubase gave me one of those horrible dialogs that says a Serious Error has occurred and that I should save my project under another name. Of course, the project had been saved prior and exiting did not prompt me to resave.
Here’s the crash for Steinberg folks:

I will report back if I have problems opening or working with the project tomorrow. I sure hope that isn’t the case as I have a vocalist coming to record Tuesday.
