To recreate: Click and hold on the Automation Parameter selection box on a track in the Project Window. It used to show all automated parameters on the selected track at the top of the list so I could easily select what I want to adjust, and now it doesn’t. Just tried with a new profile/preferences and the issue persists. It happens about 70% of the time, doesn’t matter what type of track it is. Sometimes only a few of the automated parameters will show up in the list, sometimes all, sometimes none.
See screenshot to show what menu I mean. On this track I have multiple plugin parameter automation that aren’t visible/on top like they were in past versions,
No, I mean this one, where you can see the individual parameters per track that you;ve automated. On this track, for example, I have plugin automation that isn’t on top of the list like it was in past versions, so I can’t see or select which one I want to edit like I could before. The same project shows them in C14 (same goes for any project).

Actually, update: It often doesn’t show most or any of the automated parameters in the lower (non-main track) automation lanes either. Sometimes it does, but most often not. Can we get confirmation from others on this?
Hi, can we get confirmation yes or no from others of this bug? It happens on all of my projects, regardless of how big or what plugins I’m using. It’s a big one and I need to figure out if it’s a bug or something else because it’s costing a lot of time.
Apologies everyone: I’m going to keep bumping this until I get confirmation whether it’s a bug or something with particular systems on Mac (might be an issue on Windows, too, though). So far, one person has also confirmed here on this thread and another on a different/related thread, as well as two other composers I know.
Can people check on this and see, please? Make sure to read exactly what I’m talking about: It is not “show all automation”; it is when you click on an automation parameter in the track header on an automation lane, and C15 doesn’t show you all the used automation parameters on top/marked like it always used to.
My suspicion is that something got messed up with the new feature that shows the most recently adjusted paremeter, which is an awesome feature…but now we sometimes or often (in my case) can’t see the other parameters in the pull-down list in order to select one from which we’ve already automated. The only option is to “Show All Automation on selected track”, which is very significant time kill when you have a lot of different automation on a track.
It should be behave like it used to in C14 and previous versions, and show you all the parameters you’ve used (under the most recent one used, if you have that option enabled), so you can directly select which one you want to adjust in that particular automation lane.
I’m over-explaining it because there was some misunderstanding when I first posted this.
Don’t get me wrong, but it’s not easy to understand what you mean. I’ve just read through this thread twice more, but I’m still not really clear on it. Maybe I’m just being dense, but I suspect many others who are otherwise very helpful feel the same way.
Perhaps, if possible, you could show us comparative images intended state:actual state (or C14:C15), so that it’s clear what the actual deficiency is. As they say, one (ore more) picture is worth a thousand words…
All good, I get it. I’m unable to revise the original post, so here are two videos that show exactly what I mean. It doesn’t matter what kind of track, this one happens to be a Group.
C15. Here you’ll see that when I first click on Select Parameter box, it shows 5 parameters to choose from. But when I Show All Automation for the track you can see that it actually has 15 parameters. Sometimes the Select Parameter box will show none on top if you haven’t touched any recently, even if you have lots of automation.
C14 and before. When you click on the Select Parameter box, it always shows the whole list of what I have automated, easily and immediately selectable. As you can see here in C14:
As I mentioned above, I bet it got messed up because of the new “show last touched parameter”, which again is a great feature…but it can’t be at the cost of not being able to see all the automation we have in the Select Parameter box, as we could before. And this bug happens whether that function is turned on or off.
I have another question, maybe its related. Cubae 15 is said to automatically select a parameter that has been clicked on before for automation, so you dont have to search for it in menus. This didnt work for me
Differences in automation parameter selection between Cubase 14 and 15
Procedure in Cubase 14:
A parameter list is shown. The content depends on the track type.
Do one of the following:
Select the parameter.
Select More to open the Add Parameter dialog that lists all parameters that can be automated, and select the parameter.
A selector opens, showing all available parameters for the track type.
The 5 most recently clicked parameters are shown at the top of the list.
Select a parameter.
The parameter replaces the current parameter in the automation track.
Replacing automation parameters is non-destructive.
If the automation track contains any automation data for the parameter that you replaced, this data is still available, although it is not visible.
By clicking on the name of the automation parameter in the track list, you can switch back to the replaced parameter.
On the pop-up menu, an asterisk (*) after the parameter name indicates hidden automation tracks.

Note: Everything works as described in the help documentation, except for the asterisk (*). On C14, it only appears in the light gray context menu, but not in the menu opened with More…. On C15, the light gray context menu doesn’t exist no longer, so the asterisk doesn’t appear anywhere. This needs to be fixed.
Thanks for this! It doesn’t address the issue I specifically showed in the videos, however. And you can see the issue I’m referring to in the pictures you posted.
In C14 below, Cubase automatically shows up to 15 of your automation parameters until you need to hit More:
Next is the exact same track and area in C15. It will only show the last 5 recently touched parameters, and those disappear, like they have here, the next time you open a project. It doesn’t show the last 15 automated parameters like C14 does:
To sum it up, here is the behavior in all previous versions of Cubase that needs to come back:When we hit the Select Parameter Box, we need to able to see the first 15 automated parameters, as before in previous Cubase versions. We can still have the 5 Last Touched parameters (the new C15 function) be the first 5 of those 15, if that function is enabled.
