I have contacted Steinberg three (3) times concerning issues with Cubase 9 and I can’t tell you how frustrating this is and I am seriously considering moving to another package because I have had nothing but problems with Cubase 9 refusing to load plug-ins or VST (no warning or error message), just nothing, or having plugins and VST instruments removing themselves from a session.
I have had Jeff Denos from the support group (Case # ref:_00D30F1z._5000MhEipn:ref) connect to my machine and review these issues and verified that this is indeed happening. It has been over three (3) weeks and I am still waiting for confirmation that Steinberg is working on this issue.
In the past, Steinberg releases one maybe two minor builds over the course of a new version of Cubase and this could take several months. There is no doubt that the engine redesign for Cubase 9 has been faulty as we are on our fourth (9.0.1, 9.0.2, 9.0.10 & 9.0.20) update at a stunning rate of almost one per month.
As a registered user ever since Cubase 5.5 could someone, please review the case above and bug and let me know if there a timeline for a release containing a fix?
Thank you.
Below is my last e-mail to Jeff and his reply dated May 05, 2017:
Jeff - It’s going on two (2) weeks since we ran those tests on my computer and I was wondering if you heard from Germany concerning the issues we experienced.
Hello Noel Stefan,I have not and have been following up. They are very inundated with distributor and end user requests for the territories they directly support so with these types of issues it unfortunately can take more time to see a response.
I will let you know as soon as I have more information.
