Can I use my Expression Pedal in Cubase AI?

Hello everyone,

I’ve got an expressional pedal, and it’s called BOSS EV-30. The pedal has TRS output and my UR22 has MIDI input. So, I decided to buy a cable which converts TRS to MIDI.

Then, I connected the pedal to UR22 with this cable and added a MIDI track in Cubase. The problem is Cubase doesn’t recognize the pedal.

What’s the problem and is there any solution idea?

Hi,

This type of pedals, you can connect for example to your MIDI keyboard as an expression pedal. I’m afraid you can’t connect it via MIDI directly. It doesn’t send the MIDI data directly.
