Instead of having to click to expand a new section to add one time use Tracks, just make them all visible from the start.
This is the current layout
It could be easily replaced by something like this, which is after the section is expanded. It would have exactly the same functionality without an unnecessary click

Shortcut-> TABing → Enter
->naming/routing (with the help of arrowkeys) → Enter!
I’m not in front so.. but to just travel, walking or even better flying around without reaching for the mouse is just not effektive.. it’s fun!
Pretty sure this is the reason behind the sub-menu. They’re one-time tracks, i.e. not frequent enough to justify being in the “main” view. That being said, I personally have no real argue against having them shown.
I guess it doesn’t store this permanently as a global memorized window setting?
I think you’re totally right about that’s the reason. But there’s space for it as shown or why not an arrow down instead of a click))
Almost forgot. If the “expanded” state of the “more tracks” is not saved properly, we can actually tweak the AddTrackDialog.xml (in the folder …AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\your Cubase version) and set the showMoreTracks param value to 1. This way, the “more tracks” content will be shown by default.
This however will change once we collapse the “more tracks” area, and a “0” will be set to this variable.
Maybe a voice command function to eliminate annoying mundane tasks.
I wholeheartedly agree. It’s perfectly fine to separate them with a line or similar, so that you have a visual hierarchy, but having them hidden by default serves no real purpose imho.
I would go one step further and get rid of the “More Tracks” divider. The icons are already classified by order of importance by being smaller than the “main” category.

Had I been on a computer with photoshop installed that’s how the initial post would have looked.
I guess I’m not the only one who hasn’t seen this popup…I also just right-click and choose Add Track and choose from the dropdown, then the inputs and outputs etc. show up.
There seems to be a small trend with developers hiding things. Win 11 menus come to mind. But I’ve come across similar “improvements” in other software.
I find it so interesting that this got 5 votes already.
