CC121 and Mac M1?

@Vit_Nemec There are a number of remote scripts on here to use the CC121 with C12 native.

Just download and try them.

I created my own and i do not think i would use the proper ones any more. You can make it work better by using the new C12 remote script.

I tried and I didn’t have the same experience but perhaps didn’t spend enough time. I would love to get native driver anyway

Adding my voice to the chorus awaiting native silicon support for cc121… wondering if it’s a matter that it would take many hundreds or thousands of hours to port over or it’s it’s just a deprecated priority…(vent open) it’s not a great look though from a company that would like me to spend many thousands more on their products some of which I might be willing to spend , once I see a controller I purchased about a year ago is supported… well at least my push 2 works on it’s manufactures software in native mode ( vent off)… We‘ll all hope for the best I guess .

@Ren_Udae there are several remote maps on this site that will make it work now with apple silicon and perform in a very similar way.

The lights will not be in sync but there are good programmers on here that will have built better scripts than the one i made.

I’m on silicon and I use my CC121 every day in native mode.

I do not think i would swap back for the real drivers when released because now I can map the buttons to what i want.

Took me about 2 hours to create my script. Its all done using the new remote function in C12.

I appreciate your helpful information RTT1, thank you (and what follows isn’t directed at you but Steinberg)

However, as I purchased the CC121 a year ago and it is (even though recently officially discontinued) the most widely used (officially branded) Cubase controller… and ( as of 11/2022) Apple silicon is now TWO YEAR’S OLD… I have every reasonable right to expect that the CC121 have fully functioning native support (especially since much older steinbergcontrollers are M1 supported already in C12).

I should not have to compromise any aspect of my cc121’s intended function through workarounds or custom controller scripts .

I strongly suspect that someone somewhere isn’t realizing what a negative signal is being sent by steinberg to it’s customer base by not allocating the necessary resources to have had the CC121 working in native silicon mode from day one of C12’s native mode release.

My push 2 works perfectly in native mode (and if I had a push 1, it would as well) because the company that makes those, wants its customers to know; we are here for you, we got your back, you will never have to waste time researching and figuring how to get our hardware work with our software so by all means, feel safe spending more of your hard earned money here…** I and every other person without a fully functioning CC121, IS NOT GETTING THAT MESSAGE FROM STEINBERG (quite the opposite actually).

So hopefully very soon, some wise and forward thinking individual at steinberg will show the customers (upon whom their livelihoods depend) the respect and consideration they have earned through their purchases and purchasing power and allocate the programing resources necessary to TANGIBLY show a willingness to FULLY support their customers purchases.

The aforementioned, is not rocket science and the historical graveyard of companies (over hundreds of years) is littered with once successful companies, whose downfall was precipitated by a REFUSAL to realize that they ARE NOT more important than the customers upon whom they depend.

All of which is to communicate; FIX IT! otherwise, its a very bad look for the company.

to anyone who read this, be well.

Same here, really frustrating not having CC121 drivers compatible with C12’s native M1 mode.

Thanks in advance Steinberg for your efforts!

In the next month or so I’ll be switching over to Apple Silicon (when Komplete Kontrol plugin finally switches over)
I can see my CC121 isn’t working. I keep reaching for it.
I think we just have to let it die. All good things come to an end. It’s been 10 long years and you never let me down.

I think the apple silicon native support for the CC 121 depends from Yamaha. They´re drivers have to be as well native.

Hello Steinberg

Do we have any news on m1 native support for CC 121?

This ^^^

The Steinberg app team (i.e. Cubase, Nuendo, Wavelab etc) are amazing and generally blazing fast these days with updates and dev.

Hardware drivers ‘Yamaha’s’ domain, is an absolute disaster, and has been for a very long time. Best to use the remote script function mentioned already and move on. It’s never nice to buy a product that becomes EOL shortly after, but thanks to the Steinberg app team, we can now create scripts for a range of different controllers. I still use my CC121.

That´s a great idea with the script, of course! Thanks!

Thank you

What is the best cc121 remote script to get as much of the original functionality as possible?
(this forum is. Nightmare to navigate)

I’d also know, someone that has tried them can post a list?
Also, I dont quite get it why Steinberg did not ship C12 wiht a default remote midi map for the CC121, but they did for other brands/products…

The driver update to add native Apple silicon support has been released yesterday.

Hi Ed - Any chance native Apple silicon support was added for those of us who would like to continue using our Steinberg Houston controllers on Apple silicon macs?

Thanks much!

Hey everybody!
I just read the release notes for the new cc121 tools software and don’t understand this:
Can somebody explain what is meant by

“Cubase 10.5 or later when using the link function between the device and Cubase.”.

What is the link function? Does this refer to channel linking? Or does this refer to the lock-function?

Anyone have any success using the latest CC121 MACOS drivers with Wavelab 11 on an M1 computer? Still not functioning for me. Al though CC121 works great with Studio One V5.5 in native mode

Hi you need to place the cc121 bundle into the components in the App by right click on the app then show package contents/ components /
