Changing Players from Single Player to Section Players

Hey Guys,

I imported .Xml file into Dorico and it interpreted my section players as Single players.

Is there a quick way to change them into Section Players?

Create an Empty handed section player (create the section player but don’t add an instrument). Then drag the (blue) instrument from the Solo player onto the empty player.

Rinse and repeat.

Delete all the (now empty handed) solo players.

One way of doing it is to edit the XML file itself before you import it.

TIP: Import XML as Section Player

I’ve been importing all my old documents from Finale via XML, and rather annoyingly, the instruments always seem to come in as Solo Players. You can sort it out afterwards, but it’s easier to amend the XML itself beforehand. Here’s how. Open the XML file in a text editor.
