Condensing/divisi "divide arrows" not showing up

I’m trying to get divide arrows to show up when changing staff layout (per Gould p. 468).

If I read the manual correctly, enabling “Engrave Options:Divisi:Vocal Staves:Indicate divisi at end of system on vocal staves:Show divide arrows” should do the trick, but it’s only working at the page boundary. I want it on every system that has a staff layout change. See attached screenshot and session. This is Dorico 5.1.51.2153 on MacOS 14.6.1, MacBook Pro m1.

If I remember correctly, this is a limitation with condensed divisi vocal staves, rather than it being related to the page boundary.

Thanks, Lillie. Yep. I just confirmed that it is not related to the page boundary. Consider this a feature request, then!

The best workaround I’ve been able to find is to add them via a Default Text item, and then move them by hand in Engrave mode.

I’ve got an SATB score with some sections that are divisi. Ideally, (using divisi changes) I would love to be able to switch between staff arrangements (automatically or manually), depending on the amount on counterpoint: SA / TB (2 staves) S 1 S2 / A1 A2 / T1 T2 / B1 B2 (4 staves, divisi shown using voices) S1 / S2 / A1 / A2 / T1 / T2 / B1 / B2 (8 staves) Can this be done using condensing changes? I tried, but didn’t see a way to set up condensing groups with divisi—only section players.
