Wonderful to hear it’s still on the table. I recall you or someone else at Steinberg mentioned it a few years ago, but I’m thrilled you’re still evaluating it (or perhaps even secretly started developing it, shhhhhhh, I won’t tell anyone).

I’ll pretend you didn’t say that! :smiling_face_with_halo:

Yes, I think you or someone else explained it a bit in the past, and as a former programmer myself, I definitely understand it’s not simple, considering dependencies, scope of dealing with so many track types and object types, framework issues, testing, regressions, etc., etc… I get it… it’s a very big deal. BUT it’s also a deceptively transformational feature… a VERY big deal for some people, that if implemented correctly (and not half-a$$ like Presonus and others have done), it will have a profound impact on workflows… for a lot of use cases. Nuendo + click and drag ripple editing would be a holy grail kind of DAW combo for me, would significantly improve workflows for my dialog-heavy projects, sound design projects, scoring projects, and post production projects. Just for starters.

So I’m sitting here crossing my fingers for Nuendo 15 next year with click and drag ripple editing… but I’m also super excited for Nuendo 14 this month, of course, since you guys nailed some features I’ve been asking for over the years in Cubase 14. Again, it’s the best Cubase in years. So Nuendo 14 is going to be a big hit for sure.

But yes, a really good ripple editing feature in Cubase/Nuendo would be game changer for many users… including users who don’t realize how helpful it can be.

Cheers! And best of luck with the N14 launch! I will be ready to upgrade right away!
